MASTERDOWN: MASTERDOWN Link with MASTER is down and replica-serve-stale-data is set to 'no'
RedisWhat does it mean?
The link between the replica and the master is down, and because replica-serve-stale-data is set to 'no', the replica refuses to answer requests with stale data.
Why does it happen?
The master node crashed or is unreachable, a network outage/partition, the master-replica replication link dropped, or the master cannot respond under heavy load.
How to fix it
Check the master node's status and network connectivity. Inspect replication status: INFO replication. Bring the master back up, or let a failover happen via Sentinel/Cluster. If serving stale data is acceptable, consider replica-serve-stale-data yes (mind the consistency risk). Use Sentinel/Cluster for high availability.
