1030: Got error N from storage engine
MySQLWhat does it mean?
The storage engine (InnoDB/MyISAM) could not complete an operation and returned a low-level error code. This is a generic report of a disk, file system or engine-internal problem below the SQL layer. The sub-code in the parentheses/message shows the actual cause.
Why does it happen?
Common causes: disk/temp space full (e.g. errno 28 - No space left on device), file permission problems, corrupted table files, InnoDB tablespace problems or OS-level I/O errors. Sort/group queries that produce large temporary tables can also trigger it.
How to fix it
Decode the sub-error code (on Linux, perror N shows its meaning, e.g. perror 28). Check disk usage and tmpdir space; free up space. Verify file ownership/permissions. For InnoDB, review the details in the error log; if corruption is suspected, run CHECK TABLE and recover if necessary. Optimize queries that produce huge temporary results.
