1105: Could not allocate space for object in database because the filegroup is full
SQL ServerWhat does it mean?
The filegroup that holds the data file is full and space cannot be allocated for new data. Inserts/updates fail.
Why does it happen?
The data file cannot grow (autogrowth disabled or MAXSIZE reached), no free disk space, the PRIMARY filegroup is exhausted, or a file size limit.
How to fix it
Free disk space or add a new disk/file. Enable autogrowth on the data file or enlarge it (ALTER DATABASE ... MODIFY FILE). Add a new file to the filegroup. Archive and purge unneeded/old data. For tempdb, check the tempdb files and their disk.
