Show the pgBackRest backup catalog and WAL archive range (info)
PostgreSQLBackup & PITRCommand
sudo -u postgres pgbackrest --stanza=<stanza> info
# JSON for monitoring/automation:
sudo -u postgres pgbackrest --stanza=<stanza> --output=json info
# Details of a single backup (databases, LSN range):
sudo -u postgres pgbackrest --stanza=<stanza> --set=<backup_label> infoWhat it does
Lists the stanza status, each backup's label, type, start/stop time, size, the backup it depends on, and the min/max range of the WAL archive in the repository.
When to use it
Before a restore/PITR to confirm the target time is covered, to monitor that backups run regularly, and to check retention.
Caution
info shows that a backup exists, not that it is restorable; validate with regular test restores and pgbackrest verify. If there is a gap in the WAL min/max range, PITR cannot cross it.
