Get a hot threads analysis

Command

GET /_nodes/hot_threads

What it does

Shows the stack traces of the threads consuming the most CPU on the nodes.

When to use it

When diagnosing the source of high CPU usage.

Caution

Read-only command; the output can be long, narrow it down with the thread_type parameter.
