IOERR error or timeout reading from target instance: MIGRATE: I/O error or timeout to target
RedisWhat does it mean?
A MIGRATE command (usually while moving slots/keys in Redis Cluster) hit an I/O error or timeout while connecting to the target instance or reading its reply. The key migration could not be completed safely.
Why does it happen?
Network latency/outage between the source and target nodes, the target node being overloaded or unresponsive, a MIGRATE timeout that is too short, or a large key that cannot be transferred within the given time. Common during cluster rebalancing (resharding).
How to fix it
Check network connectivity and latency between the source and target nodes. Specify a longer timeout for MIGRATE (especially for large keys). Verify the target node's health/load and memory status. When moving large keys during resharding, choose low-load hours; retry the migration if needed.
