202: NetworkInterfaceExceededTimeLimit

MongoDB

What does it mean?

A network request (e.g. inter-member communication or a client connection) exceeded its time limit. The operation could not complete because of a network timeout.

Why does it happen?

Network latency/outage, a slow or unreachable target member, excessive load, misconfigured timeout values, DNS/connection problems, or geographically distant members.

How to fix it

Check network connectivity and latency; verify reachability between members. Inspect the health and load of the target member. Configure timeout settings (connect/socket timeout) for your environment. Add retry logic. If it persists, review the infrastructure/network configuration.
